Chief Executive Officer
Pete Lirantzis
Pete Joined Resimac in early 2024 and was appointed CEO in April 2025. As CEO he is responsible for setting the corporate strategy and ensuring the business delivers on its strategic objectives. Prior to his elevation to CEO, he was Chief Strategy, Product and Operating Officer. Pete has considerable experience in the banking, finance, telecommunications and insurance sectors. Before Resimac, he served as CEO of Thorn Group, a commercial and consumer finance company, which sold its commercial business to Resimac in mid-2023. His career includes leadership positions in Australia and internationally, including CEO roles at Splitpay – a UK based fintech start-up – and Humm Group, also serving as a non-executive director for several other start-ups.
Chief Financial Officer
James Spurway
James joined Resimac in May 2024 as Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for providing the leadership and financial management necessary for Resimac to achieve its strategic priorities. James has more than 20 years' of experience in financial services that he gained both locally and overseas. Before joining Resimac, James had several senior roles at Challenger Limited such as CFO for Challenger Bank and Group General Manager of Finance, and also worked with HSBC in London and KPMG Sydney. James has a lot of experience working in complex organisations and doing digital transformation projects. James has a Bachelor of Business, Accounting & Finance, is a Chartered Accountant (CA) and has the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. James also completed the General Management program at Harvard Business School and is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Chief Treasury Officer
Andrew Marsden
Andrew joined Resimac’s Treasury team in 2004 and oversees the funding and capital programme. Andrew has a long association with Resimac, initially as the company's securitisation banker while working in the Global Securitised Markets team at Citigroup. At Citi, Andrew managed the off-balance sheet securitisation conduit providing wholesale financing for a mix of trade receivables borrowers, mortgage warehouse programmes, including Resimac’s, and a proprietary investment portfolio of RMBS. Andrew is a Responsible Manager for Resimac Limited’s Australian Financial Services Licence.

General Manager - Securitisation
Anny Chen
Anny joined Resimac’s Treasury team in 2019 and has responsibility for the Group’s funding and capital programme. Prior to joining Resimac, Anny gained extensive experience advising issuers, including Resimac and other participants, in connection with domestic and offshore securitisation. She also covered bond and debt capital markets transactions as a practising lawyer in senior roles at King & Wood Mallesons. Anny holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Laws from the University of Sydney. Anny is a Responsible Manager for Resimac Limited’s Australian Financial Services Licence.
General Manager – Business Transformation & Performance
Santo Ahmed
Santo joined Resimac in 2020 as Group Financial Controller and now serves as General Manager – Business Transformation & Performance. He brings more than 20 years’ experience in Banking and Finance across organisations including Coca-Cola Amatil, Citibank, and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Santo has extensive experience in financial management, business partnering, and applies strong commercial and financial acumen to drive strategic decision-making and business performance. He holds a Bachelor of Business, is a Chartered Accountant (CA), has an Executive MBA, and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
General Manager – Technology
Fred El-Tahche
Fred joined Resimac in 2025 as General Manager – Technology. With 20 years in financial services and technology, most recently as CIO, Fred brings a strategic and relationship-driven approach to technology leadership. He has successfully led organisational transformations, built high performing teams, and delivered measurable outcomes in complex environments. Passionate about innovation, Fred focuses on driving growth through AI, automation, improved staff experiences, and customer-centric solutions. He is excited to help lead Resimac’s journey of disruption, growth, and transformation.
General Manager – Sales & Distribution
John Athanas
John joined Resimac in 2025 as General Manager – Sales & Distribution, and is responsible to drive distribution of Resimac’s Mortgage and Asset Finance products through the Broker and Wholesale channels. John has over 30 years’ experience in Banking & Finance and has held various Sales, Operations and Credit roles with Lenders, Aggregators and Brokerage firms, including ANZ Bank, Macquarie Bank, Bankwest and Mortgage Choice. John holds an Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management along with a Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking.
General Manager - Operations
Mark Birkbeck
Mark joined Resimac in 2025 as General Manager – Operations. He brings over 25 years of experience in finance, operations and general management across the financial services, leasing, and retail sectors. He spent a significant portion of his career at Thorn Group, where he led the business development function, oversaw the retail operations of 70 Radio Rentals stores nationwide, and managed key operational functions including customer service, collections and credit operations across both Radio Rentals and Thorn Business Finance.
Mark is experienced in managing organisational change initiatives, leading successful integrations and driving cultural transformations. He has a proven track record in leading dispersed teams and fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
